Where to sell your first gig on Fiverr From Anywhere in the World.

Posted By Chinasa Onwe

The ability to sell your first gig on Fiverr is the beginning of your success in this huge online marketplace that has aided so many people like me to earn from 500 to 1000 US dollars monthly working from the comfort of my room. The Fiverr website is one of the easiest places you can make money online.

However, getting the first order is never an easy task, it doesn’t matter the country you are resident. That you are a Nigerian or an Indian is not the reason you are not making sales on Fiverr. I know this for sure because, on my Fiverr profile, I specified that I am a Nigerian. I use Glo mobile network which does well at disclosing my IP address as Nigeria. Yet, I got the level 1 badge exactly 30 days of working and the level 2 badge exactly 60 days on Fiverr. You see, being a Nigerian is not your problem.

I know you would like to ask me how I did it, let’s leave that for another day. We are talking about where you can sell your first gig on Fiverr even when your IP address is in Nigeria or any other country outside the US. To know more about Fiverr and how things work there, check out this article.  Before I show you this place where you will sell your first gig on Fiverr, I would like you to take note of this:

  1. The Fiverr marketplace is open to very talented people like you all over the world – You can imagine the freelancing platform that covers all the countries of the world even with their payment system- So, you need to just be good at what you do instead of lying about your nationality.
  2. To have a smooth ride, you must start by reading through the Fiverr’s Terms Of Service (TOS). As a matter of fact, let that be the first thing you do as soon as you sign up on Fiverr. I have served two penalties for breaking the TOS. The first time my account that has $28 was blocked. The second time, my gig was deleted or removed by Fiverr and they owe you no apologies or explanation.
  3. As a new seller, what will make any buyer want to try giving you a trial is the presentation of your profile and the way you have pitched or explained your gig.
  4. No one will teach you what to do or how to run your business, but there are powerful tools you can use within Fiverr.

Finally, I would like you to know that you are lucky reading this article. This is because no one taught me all these when I got newly into Fiverr.

Before we proceed to where you will sell your first gig on Fiverr, let us quickly run through a check on your account settings and gig creations. This is because a good profile and well gig crafted gig description is key in finding where to sell your first gig on Fiverr and to keep selling on Fiverr

Setting up a compelling gig

Like I pointed out above, the pitch of your gig guarantees the 50% sales of that gig. Most importantly, pay attention to your gig title because that’s what will make it appear on the search engine. Be specific and go for what you can do perfectly well. Let’s take some examples.

If you are into writing and maybe you want to sell an eBook gig, your gig title should be like this

  1. I will give you a Passive INCOME eBook

I will provide you a full eBook

You must specify the area or topic you can comfortably cover in an eBook.

  1. I will write a 500-word FOOD Blog in 3 days.

I will research and write any Article of 500 words.

3. I will craft an all-time 60-sec elevator pitch

4. I will rewrite your documents and articles in my own words

You must understand that you will be dealing with people who are looking for professionals with a particular specialty not the jack of all trade whom sometimes never masters anything. And finally, add 3 good looking portfolio samples and a video if you can (I never had a video). To know more about gigs and the gig economy click here

Where to sell your first gig on Fiverr

I know you couldn’t wait to discover this place. However congratulations! You are here now. This place where you can sell your first gig even within 24 hours of signing up on Fiverr as I did is called the Buyer Requests.

The Buyer Requests can be found under the selling page on your Fiverr page. Click on the selling page, scroll down to Buyers Requests and watch the browser take you to the point where if you are smart you will start selling immediately on Fiverr.

The Fiver Buyer’s Request is a page where Fiverr publishes the request from buyer’s who couldn’t contact a seller directly. In this place, you are expected to bid for the published request in a very short, concise and engaging manner.

There is this myth about not biding when up to 10 sellers have bided. That is a lie! Just make sure you make your offer compelling and interesting at a reasonable price. However, make sure you bid on current requests. This is the secret. Always refresh the page maybe every 30 minutes to see the current request.

Know this too. To beat any competition even in real life, you must present something more unique than your competitor’s. The secret is to follow your intuition on the Job to bid for.

When no Request is Showing on the Buyer Request page

I think you should also know this, as a new seller, there are times you may not see any request on the buyer request page. Yes! don’t feel disappointed, and also know that nothing may be wrong with your gig or account. It could be mostly because you are new to the website and your gigs may also not have been fully recognized both by the google and Fiverr algorithms. Give your gigs online presence by sharing them on every platform you deemed fit. Don’t bother about who will see them, just let the world wide web (internet) see them and it will send buyers to you.

It could also be that you don’t have enough gig published on your account yet. You must have at least five gigs published on Fiver to make the most out of the website.

You can also see my article on how to respond to buyer’s request on Fiverr.

Thank you for reading.

  1. I simply had to say thanks once more. I am not sure the things I could possibly have created in the absence of the type of tricks shared by you regarding that situation. Entirely was a real difficult difficulty for me, but observing the expert form you handled the issue took me to jump with contentment. I am just thankful for your support and even hope you find out what an amazing job you are always carrying out educating many others with the aid of a web site. I am certain you’ve never encountered any of us.

  2. I not to mention my pals appeared to be looking at the nice key points found on the blog and then instantly I got a horrible feeling I had not expressed respect to the web blog owner for those secrets. The boys had been consequently warmed to read all of them and already have seriously been taking pleasure in them. We appreciate you indeed being simply accommodating and also for deciding on some decent things most people are really desperate to be aware of. Our own honest regret for not expressing appreciation to you sooner.
